The UK has been one of the countries at vanguard developments Environmental Assessment (EA) theory and practice. It is likely that this globally prominent position developed through ongoing collaboration between academia practice which pervades teaching, research, itself. However, scale nature unclear, restricts learning might lead to encouraging growing existing collaborations, not just inside but also outside UK; therefore, aim paper fill research gap by characterising academia-practice in UK. To achieve aim, a typology was literature review used as basis for survey publication active UK-based academics both, validate typology, determine their with results, whilst biased views academics, indicate considerable range collaborative activities benefit both practitioners alike. resulting conceivably act template knowledge exchange EA field.
